  • Kalamazoo Public Library Van Deusen Room 315 South Rose Street Kalamazoo, Michigan, 49007 United States (map)

In this experiential workshop, explore how yoga can help regulate the nervous system and restore balance in times of uncertainty. Ideal for Yoga teachers and dedicated students, this workshop is eligible for 4 continued education credits (CEUs) and offers practical tools you can integrate into your personal practice immediately.

  • Through an integrated practice of breath training (pranayama), postural work (asana), deep relaxation, and meditative awareness, you’ll experience accessible yet profound techniques to help regulate the nervous system and build lasting resilience.

    We’ll explore:

    • How to shift from states of overwhelm, fatigue, or reactivity into balance and clarity

    • The role of breath in directly influencing the autonomic nervous system

    • How postures can build strength, release tension, and support energetic flow

    • The power of deep relaxation in resetting the system at a cellular level
How to adapt practices based on individual needs, stages of life, and teaching contexts

    • A meditative technique that can be used by itself and/ or in combination with any current practice to help deepen awareness and connection

This event will take place in the Van Deusen Room at Kalamazoo Public Library in downtown Kalamazoo. It will be both experiential and practical, offering tools you can immediately integrate into your own life.
