Who we are

Michigan Yoga Association is a registered nonprofit organization based in Michigan.

We are currently recognized as a 501(c)(6) organization under the Internal Revenue Code.


Tax-deductible status

At this time, donations made to our organization are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

We know that matters for many of our supporters, and we want to be transparent about it.

We are actively working toward obtaining 501(c)(3) status in the future, which would allow donations to be tax-deductible. We’ll share updates as that process evolves.


Payments and business expenses

While donations are not currently tax-deductible, payments such as event tickets, sponsorships, or other purchases may be considered ordinary and necessary business expenses for some individuals or organizations.

Because every situation is different, we recommend checking with your accountant or tax professional for guidance.
